#1. Judge Sylvia Hinds-Radix TrailBlazer Scholarship

• Value: BDS$3,000.00
  • Eligibility: Level II and III LLB students interested in civil service and governmental law with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Application Requirement: Submit a 500-word essay on your interest in civil and governmental law and your community service and leadership activities.

#2. Grant Scholarships for Continued Learning and Development

• Value: BDS$2,500.00 per annum (for three academic years)
  • Eligibility: Incoming full-time B.Sc Sport Sciences students who are nationals of Barbados, with an Associate Degree (minimum GPA of B) or CAPE A levels (Grades 1 and 2).

#3. interCaribbean Airways Manville “Donnie” Gardiner Memorial Annual Scholarships

• Value: BDS$5,000.00 each (five scholarships available)
  • Eligibility: Continuing students who have completed Level II or at least 54 credits, majoring in disciplines within the Faculty of Social Sciences with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3.
  • Application Requirement: Submit a 500-800 word personal narrative detailing your journey and overcoming obstacles.
  • Internship Opportunity: Scholarship recipients will intern at interCaribbean Airways.

#4. Colette Delaney Scholarship for Students in Business Studies

• Value: US$3,000.00 per annum
  • Eligibility: Incoming male students from any UWI Contributing Country, pursuing undergraduate degrees in Business-related fields with an Associate Degree (minimum GPA of B+) or CAPE A levels (Grades 1 and 2).
  • Application Requirement: Complete the Colette Delaney Scholarship Application Form.

#5. Faculty of Science and Technology Scholarships

• Includes various scholarships such as the Faculty of Science and Technology Scholarship Fund, Christopher Lambert Science Grant, and more.
  • Eligibility: Full-time undergraduate students (or part-time students moving to full-time in Level II).

Who can Apply for the University of West Indies Undergraduate Scholarships?

Applications are open for the 2024/2025 academic year.  The following are general guidelines regarding Scholarships and Bursaries:

• In order to be considered for any award, a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 is expected by most donors.  Some awards may require a higher GPA and a few may accept a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• The awards are available to full-time undergraduate students of The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus (unless otherwise stipulated).
• The applicant should only apply for scholarships for which the prescribed criteria are met as indicated on each terms of the award.
• The required status as indicated on each term of award is the academic year that the student will next be registered.  For example, if the criteria states “must be in Level II“, the applicant is expected to be enrolled in Level I at the time of applying.
