Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, announced the names of 3325 male and female students accepted into the Foreign Missions Plan of the Ministry of Higher Education for the year 2024-2025. These students graduated from high school in 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 from various public, private, and foreign schools, according to Al Qabas newspaper.

Lamia Al-Melhem, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, stated that this year’s foreign missions plan includes several new specializations aimed at diversifying educational outcomes to meet labor market demands.

The plan focuses on enhancing the quality and efficiency of medical and allied health specializations to support the healthcare system, with increased seats in medical specialties compared to last year.

These enhancements were made under the direct guidance and supervision of Minister Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, and through the diligent efforts of the cultural offices in the delegation countries.

Al-Melhem indicated that higher education was keen on implementing the national test as the first stage this year through the current aptitude test at Kuwait University. This test will serve as one of the criteria for admission to foreign missions for high school graduates interested in medical and engineering specializations.

These efforts are part of initiatives aimed at ensuring educational quality, promoting fairness and equal opportunities, and reducing student dropout rates in pursuit of completing their studies abroad.

The goal is to provide all applicants with an equal chance of being accepted into foreign missions, which is expected to positively impact the educational development in Kuwait.

Al-Melhem emphasized the importance of students adhering to the immigration laws of their scholarship countries, scholarship regulations, and equivalencies to ensure a smooth academic journey throughout their scholarship period.

She highlighted the necessity for accepted students to strictly adhere to the dates provided by the ministry, as they will only be received during their specified times for completing scholarship accreditation procedures.

She stated that students can follow the third and final phase of the ‘Wajhni’ campaign through the Ministry’s official social media accounts to access all information relevant to students and their families for the post-acceptance phase.

She also called on students accepted into foreign missions to attend the orientation meeting organized by the Ministry of Higher Education in cooperation with Kuwait University. The meetings will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 9 and 10, in three sessions. Accepted students will receive a text message informing them of the scheduled session.
