NCAA Suspends 10 Private Jet Operators, Deploys Officials For Compliance
LAGOS – The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended 10 private jet operators for failing to meet the April 19, 2024 certificate revaluation deadline.
The apex regulatory body immediately dispatched officials to the General Aviation Terminals (GAT) and other private wings of the airports to monitor the activities of the suspended private jet operators for compliance reasons.
With this suspension, these 10 private jet operators are prohibited from using their aircraft to transport passengers, cargo, or mail for hire or reward.
Mr. Michael Achimugu, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, NCAA, identified the banned private jet operators as Azikel Dredging Nigeria Ltd, Bli-Aviation Safety Services, Ferry Aviation Developments Ltd, Matrix Energy Ltd, and Marrietta Management Services Ltd.
Others include Worldwide Skypaths Services, Mattini Airline Services Ltd, Aero Lead Ltd, Sky Bird Air Ltd, and Ezuma Jets Ltd.
The statement read: “As a result of flagrant disregard for this rule, the NCAA had previously directed all holders of PNCF to undergo re-evaluation, which should have been completed by April 19th, 2024.
“To that end, the NCAA has suspended the Non-Commercial Flight Permits of Azikel Dredging Nigeria Ltd, Bli-Aviation Safety Services, Ferry Aviation Developments Ltd, Matrix Energy Ltd, Marrietta Management Services Ltd, Worldwide Skypaths Services, Mattini Airline Services Ltd, Aero Lead Ltd, Sky Bird Air Ltd, and Ezuma Jets Ltd.
“The general public is now notified that engaging PNCF holders for commercial purposes is illegal. The NCAA will not hesitate to take enforcement action against any PNCF holder found to be conducting illegal operations.”
