Jorginho made the switch from west to north London in the 2023 winter transfer window which saw Arsenal pay Chelsea £12million for his services.

The Brazilian-born Italy international signed on for 18 months, with the 32-year-old's deal boasting the option of a further 12 months.

And he has established himself as a key squad player under Mikel Arteta - featuring 35 times in all competitions this season.

Champions League winner Jorginho is viewed as a natural leader in the dressing room, and impressed in Thomas Partey's absence.

He has started in ten Premier League games, where he formed a formidable partnership with Declan Rice.

His imminent new deal will be music to Arsenal fans' ears after his agent Joao Santos reeled off five clubs he could join this summer should he depart the Emirates Stadium.

But while Jorginho is set to remain at London Colney, talkSPORT understands Partey's situation at the club remains unclear.

The Ghanaian, who has struggled with repeated injuries since arriving from Atletico Madrid in 2020, is tied down at Arsenal until 2025.
