It has been claimed again that Thiago Silva has already decided that he is leaving Chelsea at the end of the season.
He is out of contract at the end of the season and although some fans are keen for Silva to stay – particularly given the lack of leadership and experience in the squad – it seems that the Brazilian is dead set on departing the club.
It has been mentioned in previous weeks that a move back to his Homeland of Brazil is the preferred destination for the big man – and with just a few months left of the season – CHELSEA FC have not started any sorts of talks with the South American
In fact, according to Brazilian outlet UOL, Silva has already decided to leave Chelsea rather than ask and fight for another contract.
However, the same outlet has also claimed that the Brazilian has not made a decision yet on who he is going to join and will speak to his family first.
Amid all the speculation – former Blues star Frank Leboeuf recently claimed he feels that it is the right time for the Brazilian to leave the club: ‘I think the Chelsea defenders have done enough, especially against Manchester City, to prove that they can cope without Thiago Silva,’ Leboeuf told BetVictor.
‘The defence was so strong against City’s forwards who are amazing.
‘Thiago Silva has been a fantastic player for CHELSEA and I don’t want to deny that, but there is a time for everything to come to an end.
‘The young defenders at the club have proven that they are ready to play and I’m not even sure they would’ve been better off with him in the team against Liverpool
‘I’m not sure it will be a good thing if he stays next season.
‘It is time for him to leave and time for us all to say thank you to him.
‘I had my time, Marcel Desailly had his time and so did John Terry, there is an end for everyone.’
CHELSEA WANTS BOWEN –
Journalist Simon Phillips reports that Chelsea want to get winger Jarrod Bowen from West Ham United this summer in order to replace Raheem Sterling.
Sterling has strongly been strongly linked with a move away from Chelsea at the end of the season after failing to live upto the quality that he was at Man City – and he has really struggled to score the amount of goals he was at the Champions.
Should that be the case, CHELSEA will have a spot to fill and Stanley believes that Bowen could be the man to help get the Blues back in the hunt for a top four spot – and maybe push on for a title
Bowen has been in fine form for West Ham this season, conjuring up 20 goals is all competitions for the Hammers – and it is firmly believed that Liverpool will also make a move in the summer transfer window,.
The reliable journalist claims on his Substack that the west London club want to move at least two of their current players to make room for four other wingers.
Reporter Iomie Stanley feels West Ham star Jarrod Bowen could be the man to replace Raheem Sterling at Chelsea
Stanley says: ‘He can play in all three positions across the front line, gets you goals and work hard. He is the perfect replacement for Sterling
‘The other thing he gives you is that he works extremely hard defensively – he wasn’t great at it when he joined but he’s improved on it. Anyone could join, but I think he will leave – no doubt about that whatsoever.
‘I am not sure how much CHELSEA will have in the transfer window with the club trying to keep within the financial fair play rules, but They need another attacker, and that might be their first priority. Bowen could be that man.
‘He may cost alot of money – but he has really proven himself over the past few seasons – Chelsea would be fools to not make a move for the man.
CHELSEA IN LUKEBA TALKS –
Chelsea have made contact to sign RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba it has been claimed in the media.
With Chelsea’s season pretty much over and the club looking to play out the final few weeks of the season, maybe even get a European place, talk about new signings has been speculated on a daily basis.
Add that to the many reports that world class defender Thiago Silva is set to depart the club and move back to Brazilian football – the Blues will need to sign a long-term replacement for the brilliant defender.
According to reports in France, relayed by The Sun, Chelsea have made contact to sign RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba. The Blues have reached out over a transfer for the 21-year-old.
The Frenchman has made 37 appearances in all competitions this season and appears to be a star in the making, but his valuation is only at about €40m.
However, RB Leipzig do not want to sell Lukeba at any cost this summer and have told CHELSEA that they are not interested in selling the man.

The loss of Thiago Silva will be huge at the end of the season – he really has been a class act over the past few seasons – but it is the right time to go – he has proven all he needs too in Europe.
Lukeba is a very talented young defender that could have a big future in the game – but at the end of the day – he is not worth £77 million and he is not ready to come to the Premier League.
CHELSEA need to sign an established centre back to replace Silva – someone with real leadership.
