As we highly anticipate the wedding of Nigerian singer Davido and his beautiful finance, Chioma, the groom answered a question from a curious fan.
On the microblogging platform, X, @OGBofAfrica had asked who his best man would be on his wedding day.
- ADVERTISEMENTS -In a surprising response, Davido quoted the question with a simple “LATI”, stating that his longtime friend and brother-like figure, Lati DMW, would be the one to stand by his side on his special day.
Lati DMW and Davido met at a young age after the former lost his parents. Despite their age difference, they formed an unbreakable bond, growing into close friends and brothers.
Their friendship has spanned over two decades, making Lati the perfect candidate to support Davido on his wedding day.
Reacting to Davido’s choice of Lati as his best man, while many who are aware of their backstory hailed the singer for his solid choice, some questioned why the groom’s logistics manager, Isreal Afare, isn’t the best man.
Many are also aware of the closeness between Davido and Isreal. The singer was Isreal’s best man on his wedding day, although the marriage has hit the rocks.
