As the retiring Executive Director of the Evansville Museum of Arts, History, and Science, Mary Bower looks back on a remarkable career that spanned over four decades. Notable among her collaborations was the joint exhibition with the University of Southern Indiana's (USI) art faculty in celebration of the university's 50th anniversary back in 2015.

Mary Bower's journey with the Evansville Museum began in 1978 when she joined as the Curator of collections, a role she held for over 30 years. Over the years, she took on various positions within the institution, eventually rising to the role of Director in 2018. Together with her husband, USI Vice President David Bower, Mary Bower is looking forward to retirement, where they plan to embark on new adventures and spend quality time with their family. In recognition of her significant contributions, Mary Bower will be honored with the title of Director Emerita upon her official retirement.
