Huawei, a global technology company, and TD Africa, one of the largest distributors of cutting-edge technology solutions in Nigeria, have strengthened their partnership to drive digital transformation in Africa.

The partnership, revealed at the recently concluded Huawei Connect 2024 in Lagos, sought to empower businesses and individuals across the continent through innovative solutions and technologies.

TD Africa was honoured with multiple awards for its exceptional performance, distribution excellence, and commitment to skills development.

The awards recognised TD Africa’s position as a trusted partner and key driver of Huawei’s success in Africa.

“Collaboration in driving digital transformation and bridging the digital divide cannot be overemphasised,” the Coordinating Managing Director at TD Africa, Mrs Chioma Chimere, said in a statement.

Chimere cited TD Africa’s existing “Technology as a Service” initiative, which enables SMEs to embrace digital transformation by converting upfront capital expenditures into manageable operational expenses.

She stated that both parties were committed to empowering Africa through those initiatives and would continue to drive their commitment to empowering individuals and businesses on the continent, making transformational technologies accessible, affordable, and usable through those initiatives.

Huawei showcased its comprehensive offerings, including cloud computing solutions, Xinghe Intelligent Network Solution, and Xinghe Intelligent Campus, among others, designed to address the evolving needs of businesses in the intelligent era.

TD Africa’s “Technology as a Service” initiative, which enables SMEs to embrace digital transformation by converting upfront capital expenditures into manageable operational expenses, aligns with Huawei’s commitment to developing digital talent in Africa.
