At a small table in a coffee shop on the Jersey Shore a bold vision came to life, with modern florals by Sticks and Stones Flora and creative design by Sarah Montgomery Events. While minimalism and muted colors can be chic, this pair envisioned an overflowing, maximalist tabescape - filled with unique blooms and eclectic charm.

Gorgeous modern paper goods & calligraphy for the shoot were provided by The Jess Press.

Getting inspired to go big with your details

"We knew that the creative direction would involve layers of detail. We wanted to showcase how to turn a seat at the table into a full experience. The shoot was inspired by the elaborate details often found in golden age art and countered with a bright and fresh look. We want to help people lean into the details of maximalism, while keeping it approachable, sustainable and elegant."

Jewel toned accented maximalist decor

The guest details styled by Sarah Montgomery Events sat on top of a farm table and a velvety jewel toned blue runner, which popped against the bright neutrals. Natural stone candle holders featured pastel tapered candles that complimented the florals and contrasted with the textiles. On the sweetheart table, embroidered gold cloth sat and a velvety pink runner sat on top of a neutral base. Vintage cut glass held the florals using frog pins and a wild meadow design served as a grounding point for the design. A vintage lounge sat beside the sweetheart table.

Dovetail Vintage Rentals provided the layered of textured rentals that brought the team's maximalist vision to reality!

Whimsical, bold statement florals

In the table scenes, loose floral designs by Sticks and Stones Flora were accented with pears, grapes, artichokes and locally grown mushrooms. Wild texture flowers blended with garden roses married the casual with the sophisticated. Cream poppies sat next to David Austin roses, dainty chamomile and chartreuse sea grass. A medium centerpiece sat at the center, with an eclectic mix of bud vases flanked on either side featuring tall poppies and spirea.

Vibrant and curated dinner & drinks

The menu catered by Haute Feast was featured on handmade paper with fresh pressed florals. The food offerings were vibrant and meticulously placed, featuring tuna ceviche with passionfruit, coconut and chive oil, new york strip, pan seared salmon with spring pea puree, crispy baby potatoes and fresh herbs, and king trumpet mushrooms with whipped cauliflower, chermoula.

For dessert, there was marjoram scented flan accented with blackberries, caramel and vanilla.

Vintage family-style cake table

Honey Bloom Bakery provided a sweet centerpiece to this radiant reception design! Individual cakes loaded with florals were sprinkled across the table, providing a family style experience for all to taste. The guest cakes were naked, the main wedding cake, styled in ornate vintage piping, also dripping with flowers that matched the entire design.
