Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F has a cast led by Eddie Murphy and Judge Reinhold, with supporting actors including Kevin Bacon, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Taylour Paige, Mark Pellegrino, Bronson Pinchot, and John Ashton.

Now, the Rotten Tomatoes score for Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F has been revealed. At the time of writing, the film has a 69% Tomatometer. According to the actor, the biggest problem with 1994's Beverly Hills Cop III was that it had a weak villain, thinning out the conflict in the film. Attempting to repair those past mistakes, Axel F included a strong villain in Bacon, who was hyped up by Murphy and other actors in advance of the movie.

So far, it seems like these updates have paid off in the reception of Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. The 69% Tomatometer positions the film as the second-highest rated in the franchise, behind only 1984's Beverly Hills Cop. It is a vast improvement from the third film, which received a paltry 11% on Rotten Tomatoes. Beverly Hills Cop II also received lackluster reviews, as it had a rotten score with a 46% overall.
