Kalki 2898 AD is a sci-fi film that stars Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in main roles. Nag Ashwin directorial smashes the box office records in its first week. In the film, Deepika plays Sumathi, the mother of a future messiah character. Well, recently Bengali actor Saswata Chatterjee spoke to News18 Showsha from Bangladesh as he recalled shooting for the film’s climax wherein his character Manas drags Deepika’s pregnant Sumathi by hair after his army invades Shambhala.

Deepika Padukone's baby made a cameo on Kalki 2898 AD?
During the interview, Saswata revealed that Deepika’s actor-husband Ranveer Singh was present on set. He said that Deepika is ever smiling. Saswata recalled how there is a scene in the film where he drags her by the hair. He said that it was a part of the last leg of the shoot and was shot in Mumbai because Deepika Padukone was pregnant by then. Ranveer who is a doting husband came on set wearing an ensemble that was orange from top to bottom. He said that there was a lot of physical tussle in the scene and he told Ranveer Singh that for more physically challenging scenes, there’s a body double. Ranveer smiled and said, 'I know, Dada'.

In an interview with ETimes, Nag Ashwin said that Deepika was pregnant during the final days of filming and there were two days when her actual child also acted in the movie. Ashwathama is played by Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone plays SUM-80 and Yaskin is played by Kamal Haasan. Prabhas plays the role of Bhairava
On the work front, Deepika has Rohit Shetty's Singham Again starring Ranveer Sngh and other stars in main roles. The film will be released in November. Deepika and Ranveer are expecting their first child in September and their pregnancy announcement in February left everyone joyful. Deepika and Ranveer are madly in love with each other and their on-screen chemistry has left everyone praising their jodi.
