Michael Kwasi Aidoo, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate (PC) for the Oforikrom Constituency in the Ashanti Region, has made a substantial donation to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Senior High School.

On July 3, 2024, Aidoo presented 500 dual desks, 30 sewing machines, and 3,808 tablets to the school at their campus in Boadi Junction.

This generous donation aims to enhance the learning experience and provide essential resources for the students and faculty of KNUST SHS.

The dual desks will provide a comfortable and conducive learning environment, while the sewing machines will support vocational training and skill development.

The tablets will facilitate digital learning and access to educational resources, ensuring that students are equipped with the necessary tools to succeed in today's technology-driven world.

Addressing the press after a brief ceremony, the Oforikrom NPP parliamentary candidate said, "During a recent visit to the school, the headmaster and teaching staff brought to my attention the pressing needs of the vocational department. I took it upon myself to provide 30 sewing machines for practical training. Additionally, I recognized the need for dual desks to enhance the learning environment. I reached out to Middle-Belt, and they generously donated desks to support the school's teaching and learning activities."

According to Michael Kwasi Aidoo, "the exceptional performance of the headmaster, teachers, and students merits support for the school's growth beyond its current boundaries."

Regarding the government's 'one student, one tablet' initiative, he stated, “We have provided the school with 3,808 tablets to enhance teaching and learning, as digitization is essential in today's world. By introducing students to technology from an early stage, we can promote the government's digitization agenda.”

The PC urged the students, teachers, and non-teaching staff to utilize the resources effectively to improve educational standards.

The Headmaster of KNUST SHS, Mr. Anthony Duodu Antwi Bosiako, praised the NPP PC for his kind gesture.

Mr. Duodu Antwi assured him that the materials would be put to good use, believing they would significantly improve educational standards in the school.
