Benin Republic which defeated Nigeria for the first time in 65 years may be one of the possible opponents that the Super Eagles will face in the qualifying series for the Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Benin Republic are in Pot 2 along with 11 others. Nigeria will be drawn against one of the team with a likely clash with Benin Republic looming large.

The seeding employed and regional considerations may see both Nigeria and Benin clashing again after their last month’s duel in the World Cup qualifiers.

Apart from Benin in Pot 2, there are some other familiar opponents Nigeria had faced lately. They include Equatorial Guinea, Cape Verde and Angola.
