Nigerians on social media have responded to Aliko Dangote’s statement that “no power, no growth, no prosperity.” The President of Dangote Industries Limited made this remark during a speech at the Manufacturers’ Association of Nigeria (MAN) Summit in Abuja. He emphasized that dependency on imports leads to poverty and job loss and that affordable financing and industrial protection are essential for growth.

Reactions to Dangote’s bold statement varied. An X user, Udufirstson, commented, “Development is built on electricity; no nation can progress without power. However, Nigerians prioritize tribalism over addressing real issues.”

Another user, Nwandu, urged, “Baba, invest in power infrastructure and lobby for favourable energy policies.”

Similarly, Mustapha Salaha invited Dangote to explore opportunities within the power sector for growth and prosperity.
