A 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck near Pinnacles Wednesday evening, according to the United States Geological Survey. The quake hit 12 miles northeast of Soledad and 25 miles south of Hollister. It was reportedly felt as far away as San Jose, according to the USGS website. The quake struck around 6:20 p.m. No damage was reported.
