ENUGU, Nigeria – Rangers International F.C., reigning champions of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) for the 2023/2024 season and Nigeria’s representatives in the CAF Champions League, have finalized negotiations and signed Garando Tekena and Anayor Ogbonna to bolster their squad for the upcoming season.

Tekena, a highly-regarded midfielder, joins from Bayelsa United, while prolific forward Anayor Ogbonna transfers from Gombe United, recently relegated. Both players have signed contracts to represent the ‘Flying Antelopes’ in the forthcoming season.

The acquisitions of Tekena and Ogbonna are part of a strategic effort by the club’s scouting team and coaching staff, led by coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, to enhance the squad’s quality and competitiveness for the next campaign.
