Six charged in Alexander County shooting, including two juveniles
Six people have been charged in a June shooting that seriously injured a 17-year-old in Alexander County
The shooting occurred on June 6 along South Thomas Lane in Stony Point. Around midnight, deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office found a 17-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Alexander County Sheriff Chad Pennell said previously.
Initially, a 15-year-old was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. At the time, charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury and robbery with a dangerous weapon were pending, Pennell said.
On Monday, Pennell said four adults and a second juvenile have been charged in the case.
Chadrick Ty-Quan McGee, 28, of Statesville, is charged with accessory after the fact, Pennell said.
Tammy Amanda Shumake, 37, of Taylorsville, is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Katasha Frazier, 36, of Stony Point, is charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tamarius Beasley, 18, of Stony Point, is charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The second juvenile is charged with accessory after the fact.
