Vera Wang, 74, looks unrecognizable in throwback photo with daughters
Vera Wang looked unrecognizable in an adorable throwback photo that she shared with her children in honor of Mother's Day.
The acclaimed fashion designer, 74, took to Instagram to upload a snap of herself with her two daughters from nearly three decades ago to commemorate the holiday.
The image, taken in 1995, showed her holding her kids, Cecilia, now 34, and Josephine, now 31, whom she shares with ex Arthur P. Becker, in a swimming pool.
She also included some more recent photos of her and her daughters, captioning the post, '33 years in the making… My girls and me.'
Vera and American investor Arthur tied the knot in 1989 and adopted their two girls before splitting in 2012 after 23 years of marriage.
The mother-of-two, who is reportedly worth an estimated $650 million, has continuously stunned fans with her age-defying looks.
She spoke to DailyMail.com about aging while attending the DKMS Gala in New York City in January.
Vera explained, 'I think what happens sometimes as you age... I'm more frightened about physical disabilities... not all this.
'I'm not totally preoccupied with how I look. I love my work, and I'm very passionate about my work, my friends, my daughters... I mean, I have a very full life.'
When asked if she has gained more confidence with age, she replied: 'I've devoted my whole life to dressing women and styling women.
'From my years at Vogue magazine, I was an editor for 17 years, to working for Ralph Lauren, designing for my own company, my whole life has been about empowering women.'
Vera resigned from Ralph Lauren at the age of 40 and became an independent bridal wear designer, creating custom made gowns for the likes of Ariana Grande, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Victoria Beckham, and Kim Kardashian.
Asked if she has any plans to retire ahead of her 75th birthday in June 2024, she said: I'm not sure yet. I'll be like Rafael Nadal... for the moment, no.'
The style icon previously revealed avoiding the sun and drinking vodka was the secret to her youthful appearance.
'One of the things I am known to like to do is have a vodka cocktail,' she told People. 'I have a vodka at some point after five or six o'clock.'
She also previously dished to Elle that one of her top tips to staying young was working, with the designer insisting it keeps the 'mind, body and soul' forever youthful.
'Work was my lifeline that kept me feeling relevant and challenged me over the years,' she explained.
'I think the mind is more powerful than one could ever understand. The challenges that work and life present us is what keeps us going.'
