In response to recent clashes between farmers and herders in five communities, the Jigawa State Government has inaugurated a 27-member peace committee in Dutse Local Government Area.

The committee, comprising a diverse range of stakeholders, including traditional rulers, religious leaders, herdsmen, farmers, security agencies, and other community representatives, is tasked with promoting peaceful coexistence and educating communities on the importance of harmony.
