Kathleen Ann (Downey) Klein, 81, of Ellisville died July 3, 2024. Ms. Klein was very proud of her Irish heritage. She claimed traveling to Ireland and kissing the Blarney Stone on her birthday was one of her happiest moments. She enjoyed spending time with family. She will be remembered for her smile, sense of humor and ability to find beauty in all things. Born June 18, 1943, in Detroit, Mich., she was the daughter of Harvey and Rosemary (Clancy) Downey.

She is survived by two children: K.C. (Nicole) Klein and Kellie (Gary) Holladay; her friend and former spouse: Kenneth Klein; a sibling: Patrick (Marilyn) Downey; four grandchildren: Hanna Ashtin (Eli), Hailee, Luke and Trey; six granddogs: Big Ace, Mr. Riggins, Josie, Buster, Tes and Blueberry; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sibling: the Rev. Terrance (Sue) Downey.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 15642 Clayton Road, in Ellisville. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials may be made to ASPCA. Arrangements are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory in Ballwin.
