The Acolyte showrunner Leslye Headland has revealed episode 7 will showcase the biggest problem with the Jedi Order, something that could potentially set up a massive challenge for Rey in her upcoming movie. The Jedi appear to be hiding something in the latest series, with Mae assassinating members of the Order who were seemingly involved in the massacre on Brendok when she was younger. The Acolyte episode 6 ends with Sol deciding to tell her what really happened on her home planet, setting the stage for a flashback episode.
Speaking with Collider, Headland explained how The Acolyte episode 7 will show what the biggest issue with the Jedi Order is. The showrunner says how viewers will "see how far-flung particular missions with Jedi are and the lack of oversight," implying what happened on Brendok is an issue with how their organization is set up. This information could also impact Rey in her upcoming New Jedi Order movie, as she'll be trying to rebuild a similar group as the one before the Empire.
