Purnell recently opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about her expectations for Season 2: I really don’t have any autonomy over this character. I do what the writers write for me, and I always find a way to make it work, and I always find a way to justify it. She further expressed her curiosity about how Lucy’s principles will hold up after profound betrayals and trauma: Her entire world has just been ripped apart. She’s always had such strong core beliefs, but they were rooted in her dad.

Purnell’s Acting Career and Unexpected Trends

Outside of Fallout, Purnell is also known for roles on shows such as Yellowjackets, where she has faced equally intense survival scenarios. Both series required her characters to resort to extreme measures for survival. During a recent interview, Purnell humorously addressed concerns about being typecast due to these dark roles: If I had a nickel for every time I had to eat human meat on TV… It’s weird that it’s happened twice, she laughed.
