Top players from Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool make up a large part of EA FC 24’s Team of the Season lineup. However, which Chelsea player has managed to secure a spot despite a challenging debut season at Stamford Bridge?
The Premier League’s Team of the Season (TOTS) squad has been confirmed by EA FC 24, and it is dominated by players from title contenders Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
The three clubs have stormed clear at the top of the table, leading to an exciting three-way title race developing.
Liverpool were beaten in midweek by Merseyside rivals Everton, but still have an outside chance of winning the league and giving Jurgen Klopp a fairytale ending to his reign at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah and Alisson (both 95), Luis Diaz (94) and Alexis Mac Allister (92) have also made the cut.
City, who sit second, lead Liverpool by two points in the Premier League and have a game in hand, but they have one less player in the TOTS squad.
Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne (both 96) and Phil Foden (94) all join Haaland in the star-studded squad.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are gunning for their first league title in two decades, and look set to push City all the way.
They have been rewarded for another fine season by having five stars included by EA FC 24. Declan Rice leads the way with a 96 rating, closely followed by Bukayo Saka (95), William Saliba (94) plus Gabriel and Ben White (both 91).
The gaming giants have handed out five spots under the category of TOTS Moments, with De Bruyne and Diaz earning their places due to this.
Another player to benefit from this category is Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku, despite his nightmare first season at Stamford Bridge.
Nkunku arrived at Chelsea last summer after signing for £53m, but has only started two games all season after an injury-hit campaign.
He has netted twice for the Blues, but both goals have come in losing causes. However, he has still made the squad and been given a 92 rating.
He is joined in the squad by Cole Palmer – the one shining light in Chelsea’s disappointing season – while there are also spaces for Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Tottenham captain Son Heung-min.
Alejandro Garnacho is the sole Manchester United representative under the TOTS Moments category, along with Brighton full back Pervis Estupinan.
A WSL TOTS squad has also been released, and it is Chelsea and England star Lauren James that has the highest rating of 97.
Unsurprisingly, it is Chelsea and City players that dominate the list, with the title race between the two clubs set to go down to the wire.
Chelsea are represented by Sam Kerr and Niamh Charles, while Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Lauren Hemp, Alex Greenwood, Chloe Kelly and Khiara Keating have been picked for City.
There is also a place for Arsenal and England striker Alessia Russo.
More players are expected to be released as Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) and Objectives over the coming week.
