Members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) loyal to the Sly Ezeokenwa faction of the party have celebrated the recent ruling by the Supreme Court, which validated Ezeokenwa as the authentic National Chairman of APGA.

The party members, who spoke to DAILY POST on the development, said the judgment would save their party from further disintegration and distraction.

Some of the members, including Nzube Monday and Kennedy Uduma, said they would now concentrate and prepare for the task ahead in 2027.

Also speaking on the matter, the former governorship candidate of APGA during the 2023 election, Professor Gregory Ibe, said that Ezeokenwa’s reaffirmation by the Supreme Court is a testament to the authenticity of the National Convention that produced him as leader of the National Working Committee of APGA in 2023.

While commending the judiciary for the ruling, Ibe cautioned, “Edozie Njoku should refrain from further actions that could factionalize our party and instead embrace this moment as an opportunity for rebuilding, strengthening, and repositioning our party for greater exploits in future elections.”

He added that the party should seize this moment to reinvent itself and present a credible platform for providing better political leadership.

However, while there is celebration in the Ezeokenwa faction, the same cannot be said for the Edozie Njoku faction, as they have remained silent after the ruling. Onuoha Egbe Benon, who leads the faction in Abia, is yet to make a public statement about the ruling.
