WWE and Celtic seem to be a bit of a common theme over the past couple of months.

CM Punk kicked it all off back in June when he was pictured in the Celtic Superstore at Parkhead ahead of the Clash at the Castle event in the Hydro that weekend.

And after he denied Rangers supporting Drew McIntyre his chance of winning the title, CM Punk then took in post-match interviews decked in Celtic gear that had all the Celtic fans buzzing that weekend.

Then after that, we discussed how WWE superstar Sami Zayn was filmed in Celtic clothing promoting his new comedy show, Sami Zayn & Friends Do Toronto which took place before this weekend’s massive Money In The Bank wrestling event.

Sami Zayn’s Celtic love-in continues

And it was before the comedy show that Zayn once again showed his love for the Parkhead club as he sported a Celtic t-shirt backstage at The Danforth Music Hall.

You can watch Zayn speak before his show in the Countdown to WWE Money In The Bank show on YouTube below (1h 37m 40s).

The comedy show hosted stars like Johnny Knoxville who also posted a snap of Zayn taking in the sights of Toronto with his Celtic t-shirt on Instagram.

The comedy show was organised by Zayn but featured famous names like Knoxville, WWE Undisputed Champion Codey Rhodes and WWE Raw Women’s Champion, Bayley.

So it seems that Celtic’s link to the world-famous WWE brand and superstars looks set to continue for the foreseeable future.

I suppose, if anything, this gives the Celtic fans some light-hearted distraction from all the transfer talk surrounding the team and the possibility of Matt O’Riley leaving the club.

With Brendan Rodgers yet to make a signing and the Hoops fans waking up to the news that Leicester City have their eye on O’Riley, the Celtic supporters will be hoping that the Parkhead gaffer is set to give them some positive headlines with the club’s first signing of the summer window.
