Kelly Osbourne opened up about her “regrets” over walking away from her music career but she could give it a second chance after 20 years.

The 39-year-old, daughter of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne and talent manager Sharon Osbourne, once soared to the top of the charts with a duet alongside her father on his Black Sabbath classic ‘Changes’ back in 2003.

She enjoyed some success with her singles, yet her albums ‘Shut Up’ (2002) and ‘Sleeping In The Nothing’ (2005) had no significant impact on the charts.

Speaking on The Osbournes podcast, she revealed: “I’ve definitely thought about it and what life would have been like if I hadn’t stopped.”

“It’s definitely a regret. Will I do anything about that regret? I don’t know.” Her first album ‘Shut Up’ reached number 31 and her second ‘Sleeping In The Nothing’ peaked at 57 in the UK charts, while her cover of Madonna’s ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ climbed to number three.

Despite her passion for music, Kelly confessed that her reality TV and media work left her struggling to find “any balance” between her professional and personal life.

She explained her decision to step back from music, saying: “I was doing so much TV, I was doing so much touring and publicity and so many interviews and I just wanted to go out and have fun.”

“I didn’t want it to be all work and no play and I didn’t know how to have any balance. It was bad.” Kelly has since carved out a successful career in television, featuring as a host on Fashion Police, judging on Australia’s Got Talent, and lending her voice to Hildy Gloom in Disney’s animated series The 7D.

Despite her industry connections, she’s openly embraced her status, telling Rolling Stone magazine: “I’m a f****** nepo baby and I’m proud to be a nepo baby. I’m proud of my parents’ achievements.”

She continued to express admiration for her parents, saying, “I think that what they have done is incredible, history-making. I go so far as to say both of them are iconic.”

However, she acknowledged the importance of earning her place: “But it doesn’t mean that I should automatically be given all of these opportunities. My parents have always taught me that you have to prove yourself.”

This comes after the singer sparked controversy and concern when she revealed why she believed she could not get cancer.
