AMAC Chairman Breaks Ground For Waru Road Project, Promises Improved Livelihoods

In a significant milestone for the residents of Waru community in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Chairman Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a 2.5-kilometer road, marking a major step forward in his development agenda for the council.

Speaking at the ceremony, Maikalangu emphasized the importance of access roads for community development, citing the struggles of pregnant women and businesses in Waru due to the poor road conditions.

He stressed the need for community cooperation, urging residents to prioritize the project’s success over individual concerns.

The project, divided into two phases, will see the construction of 1 kilometer and 1.5 kilometers of road, respectively.

Similarly, the Supervisory Councillor for Works, Hon. Dantani Zaudna, provided additional details on the project’s scope.

Meanwhile, the Hakimi of Waru, Chief Ambassador Ibrahim Sarki, expressed his gratitude to Maikalangu for addressing the community’s long-standing need for a decent road, acknowledging its potential to improve livelihoods and economic opportunities.

With the groundbreaking ceremony, the stage is set for the transformation of Waru community, and residents eagerly anticipate the completion of the project, which promises to bring relief, growth, and progress to the area.
