The network, CGV Korea, first released the Tarot movie on June 14, 2024. The 90-minute film featured the first three episodes’ stories. It garnered appreciation from viewers and critics. Furthermore, the first short story, titled Santa’s Visit/Do You Believe in Santa?, bagged the nominations at the Cannes International Series Festival 2024. It starred actress Cho Yeo-Jeong from the Oscar-winning film, Parasite.
Tarot Korean movie features the first three episodes of the anthology series. It hit the theaters on June 14, 2024, and received a positive response. The film included the storylines of Do You Believe in Santa?, Going Home, and Delivery Call starring Cho Yeo-Jeong, Ko Kyu-Pil, and Kim Jin-Young, respectively.
During a press conference, director Ashbun (Choi Byeong-Gil) explained the plot of Tarot. He said, “While we lead our lives with our own will, we often face significant destinies that cannot be overcome by willpower alone. Tarot explores the stories of individuals who possess the determination to resist fate. We endeavored to depict real-life characters with a documentary-style approach.”
Tarot K-drama consists of seven episodes telling short spooky stories based on the themes of horror and suspense. The titles are as follows:
