Former President Donald Trump recently stated that the Supreme Court gave Jack Smith “a high level SPANKING” with its Monday ruling that presidents have immunity from prosecution for actions taken in an official capacity. The presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee commented on his Truth Social website.

On Monday, in a 6-3 verdict along conservative versus liberal lines, the Supreme Court ruled presidents cannot be prosecuted over what it classified as “official acts” undertaken in office, though they could still face prosecution for acts deemed unofficial.

It has been noted that it also sent the case back to a lower court where Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is presiding over Trump’s federal election interference case, will rule on what constitutes official and unofficial actions from a president.

The ruling means Trump’s prosecution over claims that he broke the law while attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election result is likely to be further delayed, and could be squashed altogether if judges conclude he was acting in an official capacity when the alleged offenses take place.

It is noted that Trump’s legal team is also seeking to get his conviction in May on 34 counts of falsifying business documents in the Stormy Daniels hush money case overturned following the new ruling on the same basis.

Well, Monday’s judgment was fiercely opposed by the three liberal Supreme Court judges, with Justice Sonia Sotomayor arguing it made any president “a king above the law” who could order the assassination of a political rival whilst remaining immune from prosecution.

While addressing Smith, who is overseeing Trump’s prosecution in his criminal federal election interference and classified documents cases, the former president wrote: “A really bad day for Deranged Jack Smith, the wacko prosecutor used for Crooked Joe Biden’s attack on his Political Opponent. Today, as in the past, the Supreme Court gave the Deranged One a high level SPANKING!”

Trump went on to target critical attorney Andrew Weissmann, former deputy attorney general Lisa Monaco and Attorney General Merrick Garland. Referring to Smith he added: “His ‘real’ bosses, Andrew Weissmann and Lisa Monaco, not to mention Merrick Garland, whose once great reputation has been shattered by these Thugs, and his constant defense of Crooked Joe, must be furious at him.

“Garland ought to call an end to this never ending HOAX, and let people focus on bringing back Greatness to America!”
