The National Patriotic Elders’ Forum of Nigeria, has rising from an emergency meeting supporting the position taken by the Vice President Kashim Shettima against alleged moves by the Sokoto State Government to dethroned the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Saad Abubakar.

A statement signed by Bature AbdulAziz, President of the Forum shortly after its emergency meeting in Kano stressed that the position taken by the Vice President is the best as an elder who wants goods for his people.

“For now the North scout for a Leader as been fully taken care of, because with the Vice President Kashim Shettima, the region is now safe and will henceforth speaks with one voice on matters of concerns”.

Dr. Bature AbdulAziz, added that, “Vice President quick response to the matter of Sultan Saad Abubakar and the speculation surrounding his throne, is a glading one that every sensible minds will support in the Northern Nigeria region”.

He said the Vice President actions on urgent matters shows that the Government of President Ahmad Bola Tinubu is serious with the wellbeing of the Nigerian Citizens and what concerned.

“It is clear to us that the Government of President Tinubu means well for Nigerians and the issues of Traditional Leaders, and we are hundreds percent behind their positions, we are loyal Elders who believes in good governance like that of the present dispensation”.

Bature explained that the cordiality and understanding that is between the Vice President and his Boss President Tinubu is a welcome development that will usher Nigeria to a greater heights, and this should not be joke with.

“We will like to appeal to all and sundry to adhered to the Position of the Vice President and remained peaceful, because that is the only yardstick of development, we as Elders we only cherish what is good for Nigerians”.
