The annual ESPY Awards ceremony is scheduled for July 11, organized by ESPN to celebrate excellence in global sports.

Held in Los Angeles, California, the event will be hosted by legendary tennis player Serena Williams.

Among the notable nominees for the 2024 awards are Japanese baseball phenomenon Shohei Ohtani, gymnastics star Simone Biles, basketball standout Caitlin Clark, and Patrick Mahomes, who is looking to defend his title as Best Male Athlete after winning in 2023.

If Mahomes or Ohtani secures the award again this year, they will join a prestigious list that includes LeBron James, Lance Armstrong, and Tiger Woods, who have each won multiple times in this category.

Established in 1993, the ESPY Awards also feature honorary awards such as the Arthur Ashe Award, the Jimmy V Award, and the Pat Tillman Award.
