Kuwait-Singapore bilateral talks focus on education and cooperation

KUWAIT CITY, Jul 6:Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs, Ambassador Samih Hayat, emphasized Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation with Singapore in various fields, including education, as the two nations prepare to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.

After concluding the first round of senior-level bilateral consultations between the foreign ministries of Kuwait and Singapore on Wednesday, Ambassador Hayat expressed to KUNA the mutual satisfaction with the alignment of views on various issues, underscoring the ongoing communication, cooperation, and coordination between the two countries.

Dr. Mohamed Othman, Minister-Designate at the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Education in Singapore, met with Ambassador Hayat, accompanied by Kuwait’s Ambassador to Singapore, Ahmad Al-Shuraim.

During their meeting, both sides reviewed the outcomes of the first round of productive bilateral consultations and the exceptional bilateral relations between the two friendly nations, discussing ways to enhance and develop these relations in all areas of common interest. They also addressed significant regional and international developments.

Ambassador Hayat conveyed the greetings of Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya and expressed hope for the visit of Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan to Kuwait next year.
