Liverpool fans have just two weeks left to enjoy Jurgen Klopp as manager of their football club.

It sounds almost unbelievable to say, really, but very soon Klopp will no longer be employed by Liverpool.

The Reds are set to embark upon a new era under incoming manager Arne Slot. But before all of that, there’s the small matter of waving goodbye to a truly legendary figure in Liverpool history.

Not only are Reds supporters bidding farewell to Jurgen. They’re also having to send off Pep Lijnders, Peter Krawietz, Vitor Matos and as became clear this week, John Achterberg.

Such has been the influence of Klopp and his staff, that it had been suggested that a parade through the city of Liverpool would have been appropriate whether the Reds won any trophies or not in 23/24. However, it has now been decided that that won’t be happening.

How has Jurgen Klopp reacted to no trophy parade

It is probably the right decision for Liverpool not to hold a parade at the end of this year. The Kop will get the chance to pay tribute to Klopp and his coaching team on the final day of the season.

The 56-year-old has already picked out the music for what will be one of the most emotional occasions of recent years.

Jurgen really does deserve the best of Anfield goodbye’s and those in attendance will surely make it a memorable day.

And according to The Athletic, that will be enough for the boss. They claim that Klopp was ‘fully on board’ with the club’s decision not to throw a parade in his honour.

Liverpool would reportedly have taken an open top bus through the city streets only if they’d have added another trophy besides the Carabao Cup this season.

The whole city turning out would have been a poignant way to thank a man who has meant so much to Liverpool fans. But as we’ve seen in recent weeks, football – and life – is not a fairy tale. Jurgen is happy, and so are we.

How many games do Liverpool have left under Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool are back in action on Sunday in Klopp’s penultimate match at Anfield. Without a midweek fixture it has felt a long time since the Reds last played.

The game against Tottenham now has nothing riding on it for Liverpool. They have already qualified for the Champions League and will not win the Premier League title.

As a result, we hope that the Reds can go out and play with a freedom they have been lacking for a while now.

After that, Liverpool face a slightly awkward looking trip to Aston Villa a week on Monday. Then, with tissues at the ready, the Reds take on Wolves at Anfield for Jurgen’s last stand.

It remains to be seen what Klopp does from there. But wherever life takes him, he’ll always find home in Liverpool.
