The Kano State Fire Service has revealed that no fewer than five persons were killed and property worth about N15.6 million destroyed in fire incidents in June, 2024.

This was made known by the Spokesperson of the service, Saminu Yusif Abudullahi, in Kano.

The Spokesperson said the command received a total a total of 39 emergency calls from its 32 fire stations across the state were received by the command.

Among the calls, he said, are 23 fire calls, 12 emergency and rescue calls and four false alarms.

“Estimated property destroyed by the fire in the month of June amounted to N15,650,000. Estimated property saved by the agency’s personnel was put at N46,700,000. of 39 emergency call from its 32 fire stations across the state.

“As a result of the fires, road accidents and falling into water, the lives of five people were lost,” he said.
