U.S. Representative Thomas Massie, a Republican, posted on social media about his wife’s passing on Thursday. On Friday morning, Thomas Massie announced the news on X, the platform that was once known as Twitter. He referred to his wife, Rhonda Massie, as his “high school sweetheart… the smartest, kindest woman I ever knew, my beautiful and wise queen forever.” For more than three decades, the Massies were wedded.

Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District also emphasized Rhonda Massie’s accomplishments, which include graduating from Massachusetts Technology with a degree in mechanical engineering and being awarded valedictorian of her high school class.

The 6th Congressional District representative for Kentucky, U.S. Representative Andy Barr, expressed his sadness at Rhonda Massie’s demise on social media and pledged to keep Thomas Massie and his family “in his thoughts and prayers.”

The 2nd Congressional District representative for Kentucky, Republican Rep. Brett Guthrie, referred to Rhonda Massie as an “incredible woman” and wrote in a post that he will support Thomas Massie and his family “during this difficult time.”

Rep. James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District, described Rhonda Massie as “a beautiful person on the inside and out” and expressed his and his wife’s “deep sadness by the news.”

Daniel Cameron, a former Kentucky attorney general, said he would think and pray for Massie and his family.

U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell remarked that Kentucky supports Rhonda Massie and his family at this difficult time. He and his wife were saddened to learn of Massie’s passing. Additionally, endorsing X, the Kentucky State Senate Majority Caucus expressed their condolences and prayers for Massie and his family.

Sen. Chris McDaniel, R-Ryland Heights, was among the state senators who made private remarks on Rhonda Massie’s passing. He described Massie as a “woman of charitable spirit, grace (and) strength.”

According to McDaniel’s statement, those fortunate enough to know Rhonda will never forget her for her warmth and devotion. We extend our deepest sympathy and support to the Massie family in unity.

Sen. John Schickel, a Republican from Union, expressed his amazement and despair after hearing the news.

Schickel stated that Rhonda was a fantastic person and that her wonderful marriage to Congressman Massie was among the most beautiful unions you could ever imagine.

Governor Andy Beshear said he will remember Massie and his family in “his thoughts and prayers” and urged others to offer similar condolences.

Thomas and Rhonda Massie raised four children while on a Kentucky cow farm. The cause of the death of Rhonda Massie has not been made public.
