Nollywood actor Jide Awobona has taken to his social media page to celebrate himself as he bag an award at the recent Rocklaf Studio.
He said he never thought he could gain such recognition due to the fact that he left there ever before he was called because he does not want to say late outside.
The thank the organizer of the award Yomi Fabiyi and everyone present at such event.
He wrote: I THOUGHT I HAD ADJUSTED TO STAYING LONGER AT EVENTS , BUT OBVIOUSLY NOT THERE YET, MY EXCUSE THIS TIME FOR NOT STAYING LONGER WAS BECAUSE I HAD TO BE BACK IN LAGOS ON TIME , I LEFT A COUSINS WEDDING TO HONOUR THIS INVITATION, I HAD EVEN FORGOTTEN I WAS NOMINATED 🫣 @realyomifabiyi I CAME NOT BECAUSE OF THIS AWARD , BUT TO HONOUR YOU AND APPRECIATE YOU FOR THIS GREAT FEAT, I WAS SO MOVED WHEN THE LIKES OF UNCLE YINKA, UNCLE OGOGO , UNCLE DELE AND CO WERE ON THE STAGE TO RECEIVE THEIR AWARDS, IT HAS NEVER BEEN DONE THAT WAY, GOD BLESS YOU , AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS AWARD.
