Arsenal are reportedly willing to a star player this summer who Mikel Arteta once said ‘changed’ everything about the Gunners.

The north London side are set for a huge squad overhaul this summer, with the likes of Thomas Partey, Aaron Ramsdale and Eddie Nketiah all reportedly linked with moves away from Arsenal in the coming months.

With Arteta keen to take Arsenal to the next level with another round of top-class signings, sales will be needed if the Gunners are to reach that step, with Reiss Nelson another first-team player who has been linked with an exit.

And now, there’s a new name to add to the list of players who could be sold this summer.

Arsenal open to offers for Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus

According to the Athletic, Arsenal will be open to offers this summer for 27-year-old forward Gabriel Jesus, who only joined last season from Manchester City and at the time was viewed as a top signing.

As per the report, Arteta labeled the attacker a player who ‘changed’ everything about Arsenal, with Jesus a real star for the Gunners in his first few months at the club before picking up a knee injury at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

And this injury has had a real effect on Jesus’ form, with the striker managing just four Premier League goals this season as Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard have emerged as more efficient options in the centre-forward role.

As a result, it’s no real surprise that Jesus is now being considered as a potential sale for Arsenal, with the 27-year-old a player who could bring in quite a good fee if the right club were to make an offer this summer.

North London departure could be well-suited for both Jesus and Arsenal

The fall of Jesus has been a sad sight to see for every Arsenal fan, with the Brazilian international simply no longer the player he was last season before heading to Qatar for the World Cup.

The forward has lost his explosiveness that made Jesus such a perfect attacker for Arsenal, with Arteta this season clearly in favour of other options in the centre-forward position in Havertz and Trossard.

And if a good bid was to come in, a departure from north London and even the Premier League as a whole would be well-suited for Jesus and Arsenal, who clearly need a new plan for the spearhead of their attack.
