Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Thursday resumed the ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ event in Agartala. The weekly program, as part of which common citizens directly interact with the CM, was not held in the past few months owing to the Lok Sabha elections.

“The Mukhyamantri Samipeshu program could not be held for many weeks due to the elections. So, it was held today. People came to report various problems faced by them. Even people with disabilities attended the program. I told them about our various schemes and their benefits,” CM Saha told the reporters.

The Mukhyamantri Samipeshu program was started on April 12 last year. In February, the chief minister had said that he was planning to interact with people through videoconferencing to save them from the trouble of coming to Agartala.

Former CM Biplab Kumar Deb also used to host a weekly ‘Janatar Durbar’ to listen to problems faced by common people and provide them with time-bound solutions. But it was discontinued within a few months.
