Katsina State Makes Impact At 9th Nigeria – EU Business Forum

Katsina State Government has demonstrated its commitment to international cooperation and development at the 9th Nigeria – EU Business Forum.

A high-powered delegation led by the state Deputy Governor, Malam Faruq Lawal Jobe made a significant impact at the business forum held in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory on Tuesday.

It is important to note that Katsina state was the only state with full representation at this prestigious international event, themed: Investing in Jobs and Sustainable Future.

Mrs. Maryam Musa Yahaya, the Executive Director for Development Partners in her address, emphasized the need for more direct engagements at the state level. “Our presence at this forum underscores Katsina State’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for investment and collaboration,”.

“We are open to partnerships that align with our state development goals and the forum’s theme of ‘Investing in Jobs and Sustainable Future’. We believe that direct engagements with states can yield more effective and impactful results”, she added.

On her part, the State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Hon. Hadiza Yar’Adua, presented Katsina’s groundbreaking initiatives in improving educational infrastructure and outcomes.

She highlighted Governor Radda’s commitment to revolutionizing the state’s education sector, positioning, adding that, Katsina as a leader in educational reform in Nigeria have a focus on creating sustainable job opportunities for the youth.

Similarly, the Executive Director for Economic Development and Investment, Dr. Kabir Masanawa, showcased Katsina’s vast economic potential and lucrative investment opportunities.

His presentation outlined key sectors primed for development and the state’s investor-friendly policies, stressing that, this demonstrates Governor Radda’s dedication to economic diversification, job creation, and sustainable growth.

The Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor, Hon. Khalil Nura Khalil, on his part, provided valuable insights into Katsina’s strategic economic plans and their alignment with broader development objectives.

His contributions, Khalil noted underscored the state’s comprehensive approach to sustainable economic development under Governor Radda’s leadership, emphasizing the importance of investing in a sustainable future for the state.

It would be recalled that, Katsina State’s active participation at the 9th EU Business Forum reflects Governor Radda’s proactive approach to engaging with international partners and stakeholders to drive progress and innovation.
