Preparations for Liverpool's Premier League match with Aston Villa have continued this week.

The Reds will head to Villa Park on Monday (May 13), in the penultimate game for Jurgen Klopp as manager. Klopp will depart at the end of the season after nine years in charge at Anfield.

Ahead of the match, Liverpool still have players sidelined with injury. Conor Bradley made his return to the matchday squad in the win over Tottenham last weekend after missing three games due to an ankle injury. Stefan Bajcetic also returned to action after missing the most part of the season with a calf issue. He played a total of 25 minutes against Spurs.

The ECHO has taken a look at the latest from the treatment room.

Diogo Jota

Injury: Hip.

The Portuguese sustained the injury against Fulham on April 21 and is yet to return to first-team training.

He missed last Sunday's game against Spurs but the Reds will hope to have the forward back in the match day squad before the end of the season.

Potential return date: Aston Villa (A) - May 13.

Joel Matip

Injury: ACL.

Matip is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season. With the defender's contract set to expire this summer, it remains to be seen if he will make another appearance for Liverpool.

Potential return date: Unknown.

Thiago Alcantara

Injury: Thigh.

Thiago has not played for Liverpool since his five-minute cameo in the defeat to Arsenal on February 4. That cameo remains his only appearance of the season as he continues to recover.

It remains to be seen if he will play for Liverpool again with his contract set to expire next month.

Potential return date: Unknown.

Ben Doak

Injury: Knee.

He has been on the sidelines since December when he suffered a knee injury during an appearance for Liverpool's Under-21s. No timeframe has been given for when the club expects Doak to make his return from the injury.

Potential return date: Unknown.
