Members of the All-Progressives Congress, Ward 1 in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, has passed a vote of confidence on Senator Chief Ede Dafinone, the Senator Representing the People of Delta Central Senatorial District, noting that he has performed well in the last one year.

Comrade Justice Erikefe Obosievwie, Chairman APC Ward 1 and Coordinator of Dafinone Solidarity Movement DSM while speaking during the meeting held on Sunday, said as a first timers in the Senate, Dafinone has shown capacity in his legislative duties at the National Assembly.

While berating those who recently took to the social media critic Senator Dafinone’s one year in office, Erikefe insisted that their aim is to distract him from doing his good works and disclosing that the good people of Sapele Ward 1 are solidly behind him.

“We are not part of that and we cannot support that. We therefore pass a vote of confidence on our senator Chief Ede Dafinone. He has done well, we should be patient, he will do more because he’s going to surprise us. Empowerment will certainly get to everyone.”

“He has sponsored a bill for the establishment of a university of education at Isiokolo and the process is still on at the national assembly. He has light up almost everywhere in Delta central. He has also set up 50 blocks hostel at the Federal University of Petroleum Institute. We members of ward 1 are happy with our senator.

“Our senator is working with RT Hon Monday Igbuya to light up Sapele and this is very commendable. Dafinone is our senator and we can never deny him. He has been paying hospital bills to people. He’s the only Senator who has given us feedback after he was elected. He has also appointed a lot of persons who are currently receiving salary across the 8 local government,” he said.

Also speaking, Mr Philip Akporoba, the vice chairman of Ward 1, noted that leaders and members of the ward have confidence in Dafinone, as Mr Aghoghowia S.O, former chairman of Ward 1 explained that Senator Ede Dafinone is a true son of his father who knows the pain and the needs of the people.

Mrs Queen Jafor, women leader Ward 1 and Mr Henry Ikekereghor youth leader Ward 1 said those using the social media to insult him should desist from it, adding that Senator Dafinone has employed many people through empowerment before he became senator.
