New Nigerian Army Brigade Commander assumes office in Kwara

Brig.-Gen. Oluwafemi Williams, on Friday, assumed office as the new Brigade Commander of 22 Armoured Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Ilorin, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) has reported.

NAN also reports that Williams’ assumption of office at Sobi Barracks, Ilorin, was sequel to the recent re-jig of senior officers in the Nigerian army, according to its Public Relations Officer, Stephen Nwankwo.

Nwankwo, while welcoming Williams to his new office, described him as a seasoned senior army officer.

“He attended all mandatory courses and served in several capacities of the Nigerian army formations and units, where he held various appointments, including command staff.

“Gen. Williams is of the Armour Corps and he is a Fellow of the prestigious Nigerian Defence College, Abuja,” he said. (NAN)
