New traffic patterns, buffered bike lane coming to areas of downtown Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - City crews will be out on July 19 to restripe pavement to show a new traffic pattern in sections of downtown Toledo.

According to a press release from the City of Toledo, the new traffic patterns will be on sections of Erie Street and Michigan Avenue. The stretch of road between Jefferson and Cherry on both Erie Street and Michigan Avenue will be impacted.

The new traffic patterns will reduce the sections to two lanes of travel, add a buffered bike lane and add more on-street parking.

According to the press release, flexipost barriers will be installed as a barrier between the road and the parking and the parking lane will serve as the barrier between the bike lane and the road.
