KUWAIT CITY, July 6: Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, alongside Minister of State for Youth Affairs, has recently issued a series of decisions aimed at bolstering administrative efficiency within the Legal Affairs Sector.

The key decision entails the establishment of a dedicated “Coordination and Follow-up Department,” reporting directly to the Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs. This department is tasked with several crucial responsibilities, as outlined in the directives:

  1. Developing an annual work plan, overseeing its execution, and presenting periodic progress reports.
  2. Providing technical and administrative oversight, ensuring tasks adhere to required standards.
  3. Addressing operational challenges and proposing recommendations for enhancing performance.
  4. Proposing and implementing necessary systems and regulations.
  5. Coordinating with relevant departments on sector-specific plans and programs, and submitting comprehensive reports.
  6. Collaborating with ministry counterparts to facilitate joint initiatives within established guidelines.
  7. Managing sector inquiries and preparing correspondence in collaboration with relevant departments.
  8. Coordinating conferences, meetings, and media engagements attended by the Assistant Undersecretary.
  9. Monitoring sector-related directives and expressing opinions in cooperation with relevant authorities.
  10. Tracking implementation of ministry decisions and reporting outcomes periodically.
  11. Collaborating with ministry sectors on matters referred by specialized councils or other official bodies.
  12. Ensuring job descriptions align with departmental roles and coordinating necessary amendments.
  13. Maintaining records of entities relevant to the Assistant Undersecretary’s portfolio.
  14. Identifying departmental training needs and staffing requirements in coordination with relevant authorities.
  15. Compiling periodic and annual reports on departmental activities for review by the Assistant Undersecretary.

The decision is set to annul any conflicting texts upon its publication in the Official Gazette, with immediate effect. Implementation will be overseen by pertinent authorities to ensure adherence to the outlined provisions.

This initiative marks a proactive step towards enhancing administrative capabilities and streamlining operations within the ministry’s Legal Affairs Sector, aimed at achieving greater efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
