What a Change in Eight Years!

answersingenesis.org 2024/10/6

Today, July 7, 2024, is a special day. It is the eighth anniversary of the opening of the Ark Encounter. Wow, eight years! God has been so faithful over these years to use this attraction to encourage Christians and challenge unbelievers with his gospel. Enjoy these photos showing the massive changes that have taken place since the Ark opened.

This photograph was taken on the ribbon cutting day (July 5). Compare it with the photos of the Ark Encounter attraction today! What a difference.

It’s amazing to see the change, and we praise God for what he has done.

We had a lot of opposition, particularly from atheists, against the building of the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. On the day the Creation Museum opened in 2007, a local atheist group protested outside the gates. Millions of people have visited since the opening. When the Ark Encounter opened, the local atheist group protested outside the gates and did so each year until last year when they were nowhere to be seen. Millions of visitors from all over the world have visited since the openings (the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum combined have had an economic impact of billions of dollars on Kentucky, and the spiritual impact is immeasurable).

No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)

The Ark and Creation Museum are the two leading Christian themed attractions in the world. I encourage you to join the thousands who visit daily (remember that kids 10 and under are free).

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
