Oyebanji Assures Corps Members of Ekiti Govt’s Support

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has assured National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members of the State Government’s unwavering support and commitment to providing an enabling environment throughout their service year.

Represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr Gold Adedayo, Governor Oyebanji addressed the 2024 Batch “B” Stream 1 corps members during their swearing-in ceremony at Ise/Orun/Emure NYSC Orientation Camp where he emphasized the role of youths in progressive and sustainable nation-building.

He urged the corps members to prioritize patriotism, selfless service, and national interest during their service year, and to contribute meaningfully to the development of their host communities, working towards a more prosperous future for Nigeria.

Governor Oyebanji assured the corps members of the State Government’s commitment to ensuring their safety, security, and well-being throughout their service year, and he pledged to continue providing an enabling environment by improving infrastructure and resources for the NYSC program. He acknowledged the selfless service of the corps members and assured them that Ekiti State Government is dedicated to rewarding excellence among them during the service year.

The governor also counselled the corps members to be adaptable and security-conscious in the face of national challenges as they build foundations for their futures filled with impactful service and free from corruption, unemployment, and poverty.

In his welcome remarks, the NYSC State Coordinator, Alhaji Abdullah Riko, expressed gratitude to the Ekiti State Government for providing adequate security for corps members and commended the discipline and patriotism of the corps members, evident in their zealous participation in camp activities.
