Ronald Otti Ociti moves to Kitara from BUL FC

In preparation for their busy 2024–25 football season that will boost the CAF Confederation Cup and local action, Kitara FC has embarked on shaping their squad in this transfer window.

The Royals have added midfielder David Ndihabwe and defender Ronald Otti to their squad, each on a one-year contract.

Ndihabwe joins Kitara from Maroons FC, where he spent the last two football seasons. This will be his second stint with the Royals, having spent the 2018–19 season with the Masindi-based side.

Last season, the midfielder was involved in five goals for the Maroons, scoring one goal and assisting four times.

”I feel happy that I am going to be playing football for Kitara FC again. As a player, it’s a step further because I am joining a winning team and going to play on the continent. I hope to give my best and help my team achieve its goals in the forthcoming season.”

Ndihabwe has previously played for the now-defunct Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU), Express, Bugesera FC in Rwanda, Arua Hill Sports Cub, and Maroons.

Additionally, Ronald Otti joins the Uganda Cup holders from BUL FC and will pursue his trade with this new club until June 2025.

”I believe this is the right choice and place for me to be. Kitara is an exciting club. I hope my experience can add something to or improve my new team. And I want to pledge my hard work and commitment to them.” Otti told the club media.

The center back, who was voted the best defender in the just concluded Uganda Premier League Awards, will compete with Benjamin Nyakoojo, Maxwell Owachigiu, Arthur Kiggundu, and David Kasaija in the heart of the team’s defense.

Kitara will be representing Uganda in the CAF Confederations Cup, which starts in August 2024, and the arrival of Otti boosts the squad’s depth and strength.
