Superstar Kamal Haasan has recently attended the press event of Indian 2 in Hyderabad. During the event, he got nostalgic about the initial days of his career. He said that 52 years ago he visited the city as a technician, and now he reached this place in his career due to the support of the audience. Kamal further stated that Indian Cinema has reached to the International audience and Telugu Cinema has played a huge part in it.  

During the event, Kamal said “I visited Hyderabad for the first time 52 years ago as a technician. Telugu people have held my hand since then and got me till here (Bharateeyudu 2). I thank you all with utmost gratitude. Indian cinema has gone international now, and Telugu cinema has played a huge part in it. Telugu also played a huge part in my life.” 

Haasan also shared his views on playing the role again in Indian 2, he said “I feel fortunate to have acted in Bharateeyudu (Indian) sequel and be part of Shankar’s grand vision. I am a fan of this movie. This is a people’s movie,” He concluded the speech by saying, “I am back.”

Indian 2 has been made under the banners of Telugu states Asian Suniel and Sridevi Movies. The movie also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Nedumudi Venu, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Brahmanandam, Mark Bennington, Samuthirakhani, Bobby Simha and SJ Suryah in key roles. Directed by Shanmugam Shankar, the film is all set to be released in theatres on 12th July.  

Kamal Haasan was also seen in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. The science fiction action movie was released in theatres on 27th June. The film also stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Keerthy Suresh, Saswata Chatterjee and Anna Ben in significant roles. Dulquer Salmaan, Ram Gopal Varma, Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur have made their special appearances in the movie.
