Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –

Midfielder Kieran Drewsbury-Hall has opened up and said that he is hoping to win some silverware at Chelsea after making the move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have been very active in the transfer market already this summer and Drewsbury-Hall is the latest name to make the move to Stamford Bridge on a massive six-year deal after an impressive season with Leicester City last year.

Under Enzo Maresca’s guidance and with Dewsbury-Hall a driving force in the middle of the pitch, the Foxes secured immediate promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, and the Italian was keen to bring him to West London.

And after completing his move to CHELSEA – the midfielder has opened up and revealed that he is keen to add some silverware this season, he told the club website: ‘My hopes for the season, first and foremost, is to win some silverware. That is an aim for this club and we are in plenty of competitions this season where we can try to do that. So that is priority number one.

‘I want to play as many games as I can and try to help the team as much as possible. That is imperative to me.

‘I want to enjoy the moment and enjoy the occasion. There are going to be a lot of games this season and hopefully there will be a lot of ups.’

He continued: ‘Obviously, I know the head coach and the way he wants to play. It suits me as a player.

‘The squad is full of talent and has a lot of potential so I know that if it is nurtured right, then we can be really dangerous.’

JACKSON NOT LEAVING –

Nicolas Jackson won’t be included in any swap deals away from Chelsea this summer, despite rumours he was offered to Newcastle in a potential move for Alexander Isak.

After months of speculation last summer on what striker could come to Chelsea – the decision was made to sign Nicolas Jackson for a measly fee of £34 million after his impressive season in the Spanish League.

The forward has put in some decent performances during his stay at CHELSEA – but there is a feeling that the club will need to add another forward to the attack this summer in order to start competing with the big boys again for Champions League football.

That has led to some stunning reports in the media which had claimed that Nicolas Jackson could actually depart the club this summer and it has been claimed that Chelsea could use the striker in their bid to land Alexander Isak from Newcastle.

But according to Fabrizio Romano, Jackson is seen as an important part of the project at Stamford Bridge. Jackson himself is also said to be happy with the Blues.

Recently Speaking to Gambling Zone, William Gallas has opened up and claimed that Jackson will not be leaving the club this summer – he said: ‘Nicolas Jackson is clearly upset at Chelsea for Pochettino leaving, Poch gave him the opportunity to have that confidence and he gave him a very good first season in the Premier League.

“The new manager will need time to get even more out of Jackson, but he had a very solid season, scoring nearly 15 goals, so I think he can improve again.

“He’s still young and the next step is to get to the 20 goal mark, which I think is possible next season for him. He’s still very raw and missed some huge chances, especially in their semi-final of the FA Cup against Man City.

“But I think he has all the tools to become a very good player in the future…”

JULIA BARTEL JOINS –

Chelsea is delighted to announce the signing of Julia Bartel, with the Spanish midfielder joining the Blues from FC Barcelona

The Blues posted on the club website: ‘The 20-year-old central midfielder has signed a contract with the club until the summer of 2027, plus a one-year option. She makes the move from Barcelona in her native Spain, who she has represented since 2019 and is a product of their Academy.

‘A dynamic and intelligent player with excellent technical ability, Bartel has been captain for both club and country showing leadership skills at a young age. She has enjoyed plenty of success at domestic and international level during her early career.

‘Having started her domestic career with Espanyol in their youth team, Bartel made the move to Barcelona in 2019 where she has enjoyed domestic league and cup triumphs as well as success on the European stage.

‘She has primarily represented Barcelona in their B team and scored two goals in their final league game of the 2023/24 campaign, which helped them to secure the title in the Spanish second division.

‘On the international stage, Bartel was instrumental in Spain winning the Under-20 World Cup in 2022 where she was named in the team of the tournament. She also won the Under-19 European Championship last summer and played every game in both competitions.

‘Everyone at Chelsea warmly welcomes Julia to the club, and we wish her every success for the upcoming years as a Blue!’
