Further afield in Knysna, three suspects were arrested during a search and seizure operation at a house in Thula Street on Thursday 27 June.

GEORGE NEWS - Eight people were arrested during unrelated incidents in Pacaltsdorp on Wednesday 26 June following midweek operations by the Garden Route District Crime Combatting Team (GRDCCT) in the area. 

Five of these suspects were arrested on drug related charges, two for possession of dangerous weapons and one suspect wanted on outstanding warrants of arrest. 

Small quantities of tik and Mandrax as well as a panga were confiscated during the operation.

Further afield in Knysna, three suspects were arrested during a search and seizure operation at a house in Thula Street on Thursday 27 June. 

According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies, a search of the premises ensued when the members found a small black bag with Mandrax tablets concealed in the bathroom. The police confiscated 504 tablets and arrested a Nigerian man (43) on a charge of dealing in drugs.

"Later the same day, the team operationalised another search and seizure warrant when they pounced on a house at Concordia. The members found 235 Mandrax tablets at the residence. They confiscated the drugs and arrested a 35-year-old Nigerian national and a 23-year-old woman on charges of dealing in drugs," he said.

In Mossel Bay, the Kwanonqaba Crime Prevention Unit operationalised information when they arrested two suspects after dealing in drugs and possession of drugs. 

Small quantities of tik, heroin and Mandrax tablets were found in the possession of the pair. They are facing charges of dealing in drugs and possession of drugs.
